4th of July 2022 events in Tampa Bay

It's a long holiday weekend! Here are some of the events celebrating Independence Day 2022 this 4th of July weekend.

7th Annual Zephyrhills Summerfest

July 2, 2022 at Zephyr Park from Noon-9:30pm

Full day of family fun culminating in the Zephyrhills Summerfest Fireworks show. Local food trucks & restaurants, cold treats, lemonade and carnival food, with live music and craft vendors.

Kids zone will feature bounce houses, waterslides, cooling activities & family games. Kids Zone wristbands benefit local charities.

Boom by the Bay (July 4, 2022)

Various locations in downtown Tampa

Tampa’s premier fireworks celebration featuring 3 fireworks displays along Tampa’s waterfront - Boom on Bayshore (south of Davis Islands Bridge is the largest fireworks display); Star Spangled Sparkman at Sparkman Wharf; The Heights District 4th of July Celebration at Armature Works. Note: there will be no fireworks at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Julian B Lane Riverfront Park or the Tampa Convention Center this year. In addition to fireworks, residents will be able to enjoy food trucks, live music, a water ski show, family-friendly activities and more along Tampa’s downtown waterfront.

The Fourth at St. Pete Pier (July 4, 2022)

Spa Beach Park at the St. Pete Pier from 4-9pm

The 2nd annual “The Fourth” Independence Day Celebration at St. Pete Pier. This event is filled with fun activities for all, including the St. Pete Pier Run, craft beer garden, food trucks, live music, roaming entertainers and more. The traditional Fourth of July fireworks show begins at 9 pm and will be visible from the entire Downtown St. Pete waterfront.

Largo 4th of July Celebration

July 4, 2022 at Largo Central Park beginning at 5pm

Fireworks, food trucks and music. Fireworks presented by Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Limited on-site parking $10. Parking lots open at 5 pm.

July 4th Boat Parade and Blessing of the Fleet

July 4, 2022 in downtown Tampa beginning at 6pm

Make your way down to the Tampa Riverwalk for the 2nd Annual July 4th Boat Parade and Blessing of the Fleet.  The parade route will begin near the southern tip of Davis Islands, travels through the Convention Center basin and up toward Armature Works where the boats will turn around and head to Sparkman Wharf. There will also be a Blessing of the Fleet along the parade route. Boats will be decked out in red, white and blue and compete for the most patriotic boat trophy. The boat parade will be followed by fireworks displays at Sparkman Wharf.    

 4th of July Celebration – Safety Harbor

July 4, 2022 at Waterfront Park – Safety Harbor from 5pm to 9pm

Bring the whole family out for a July 4th Celebration Safety Harbor style. There will be children's activities, live entertainment, food vendors and more. Fireworks display begins at 9:00pm.

The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works

July 4, 2022 at Armature Works from 3-10 pm

The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works is one of four featured locations participating in the City of Tampa's Boom by the Bay. The event benefits K9’s for Warriors. Festivities include a riverfront concert, fireworks display overlooking downtown Tampa, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, Hot Dog Eating competition, Kid’s Zone and more. Tickets available online through Armature Works.
